![]() To successfully use credit cards alongside a monthly written budget, all you have to do is use your card instead of cash for regular bills and purchases you make in discretionary categories like groceries, dining out, and entertainment. You just need to be considerably more disciplined to stay on track. No matter what anyone says, you absolutely can use credit cards and stay on budget. How to apply the cash envelope system to credit cards It certainly sounds harsh, but you do get used to it. Over time, the cash envelope system intends to teach you how to be more intentional with your spending, reduce waste, and leave more money in your bank account to save and invest. Find yourself out of cash for restaurant or entertainment spending on the 25th? That means you don't get to dine out or hit the movies toward the end of the month since you spent too much at the beginning. What happens when you run out of grocery money on the 20th of the month? That could mean having to dig deeply into your pantry and freezer instead. Read more: 3 go-to strategies to make budgeting less complicated, less stressful, and easier to stick with ![]() The idea behind the cash envelope system is making sure you stay on track with the amounts you budget in each category, so you would spend the money in each envelope down until it's gone. In this case, you would take the money you needed in cash from the bank for each category at the beginning of the month and place it in a marked envelope. You take the amount of money you've set aside in discretionary spending categories like groceries, entertainment, gas, clothing, and dining out, and put the money in envelopes designated for each.įor example, let's imagine for a moment you're using a zero-sum budget and plan to spend the following amount in these categories for a specific month: ![]() The cash envelope system works exactly how it sounds like it would. Basically, treat your credit card like a debit card. When you're working to earn credit card rewards, it's important to practice financial discipline, like paying your balances off in full each month, making payments on time, and not spending more than you can afford to pay back. ![]() Keep in mind that we're focusing on the rewards and perks that make these credit cards great options, not things like interest rates and late fees, which can far outweigh the value of any rewards. In fact, you can use credit cards in conjunction with any type of budget, including one that relies on the cash envelope system. While budgeting usually works best when you switch to cash and avoid the perils of using credit cards, you don't absolutely have to steer clear of plastic. As a result of using a zero-sum budget, many people find themselves spending less on things that don't matter to them and saving a whole lot more. When you give each dollar you earn a job, you also become more intentional about the way you spend the money you've worked so hard to earn. My book, Zero Down Your Debt: Reclaim Your Income and Build a Life You'll Love, focuses on the zero-sum budgeting method, which asks you to assign a purpose to every dollar you earn each month to reduce waste. 8/13/2023 0 Comments S aura hotel taiwanThere are some selection changes every day. The selection and the quality are OK (not more than that) but if you arrive after 9 am you can find the food missing and cold. There are a pool and a sauna in the hotel which I didn't have time to use. The staff is very polite, helpful and most speak decent english. The room, and the hotel area in general, are very clean. Two things that I never saw in other hotels in Taipei - the floor is not carpet covering but wood (or maybe wood looking plastic) which actually makes the room feel cleaner, and the wardrobe is accessible from both the room and the bathroom (pure genius). The bathroom is big and includes a big bath, a steam room (which is also a shower) and a "smart toilet" with heating seat, bidet and other functions. The room is quite big (which is typical for Taipei), big TV, big working desk with a panel which allows you to connect your laptop to the TV, very comfortable bed. One thing that, in my opinion, was really lacking in the room is a capsule coffee machine which started to become a standard in many business oriented hotels. The hotel is relatively new and well equipped. Considering to make it my "default choice" for this area. This is not the most fancy hotel in the area, but maybe the best in terms of value for money. I have stayed in this hotel for a week in August, travelling for business in Neihu district. I’ve been to Taiwan over 20 times and have stayed in economical and luxury hotel, none have been like this. With this response and attitude, I can’t bear to even think of stepping into such a place. I’ve been a Front Office Manager for an international chain hotel and have worked in Asia and US, this is totally unheard of. It’s 6 weeks before the travel dates and they seem to be so hungry to lose my reservation.this is a bell to tell you how bad the hotel must be. I called back and they said reservation was closed. I called at 5pm and after getting such bad attitude I’ve asked to speak to the manager or have someone call me back and she said there is no manager (it must have been 5:20pm at the time). She was very persistent and was very rude to say nothing can be done. I explained I’m only there for 3 days with kids and 2 days just don’t make any sense. The reservationists, Carrie, tells me it’s not possible and they every hotel have their own policies. I’ve called the hotel and said this was not acceptable and I would like to cancel. A day later, I got a message from the hotel the the pool and sauna access needs 2 days prior reservation in order to be enjoyed. The hotel has a 4-stars rating with pool and all. I have not physically stayed in the hotel yet, but I’ve made one online through Expedia.

It is distinct from the slightly better known River GTS, which is hosted by the Grand Canyon River Guides Association so it is geared towards river guides and takes place at the Hatch River Expeditions warehouse in mid-March.Fast forward to today and my kids think I am the best “drawer” ever! But I have a little secret, the crown you see in the picture below is about as good as I get at drawing. The Hiking GTS is takes place in mid-February and is geared towards hiking guides, tour bus operators, and people who lead backpacking trips in the canyon. I captured as much information as I could during the short talks in these sketchnotes about the forests of the Kaibab Plateau ( Dr. Climate is changing, water resources are increasingly scarce, helicopters and planes regularly disturb wildlife, and dedicated park scientists and managers work with limited staff and funding! Another takeaway was that the guides and visitors love the Canyon and support it through contributions to the Grand Canyon Conservancy. My big takeaway from the seminar was that the guides and visitors love the Grand Canyon deeply and yet the wildlife, forests, and landscape face more challenges now than ever. I attended the science talks during the Grand Canyon Hiking GTS on February 15, 2019. We had a wonderful time sampling the creek, telling stories around the camp stove and exploring the Narrows. He and another NREL employee offered to help me with my fieldwork, but they preferred to help me in a location far, far from a vehicle than with anything "easy." The park biologist at Capitol Reef was more than happy to have us hike into Hall's Creek and sample aquatic invertebrates there, so we loaded up our backpacks with waders, sampling nets, and a couple of nights' worth of gear and headed for the hills. We hit it off immediately (which I attribute more to Dave's affable personality than to mine) and had a great conversation about my research in Latin America, camping in the Southwestern US, and the value of getting students into the field when teaching ecology.įast forward three years and Dave was knee deep in Hall's Creek in Capitol Reef NP helping me with my field research. I first met Dave when I bounded into his office to inquire about being sponsored by the NSF GK-12 program, which paired graduate students with K-12 educators in Fort Collins. Dave was one of my GK-12 advisors during my doctoral program at Colorado State University, but he was so much more. I recently learned that one of my favorite mentors from graduate school, Dave Swift, had died when I was invited by the Natural Resource Ecology Lab to a symposium in his honor. You can send most, but not all of your troops in one go, should you encounter a situation where you have a couple defensive towers that are well-protected, while the enemy doesn’t have any. That should serve as a good opportunity for you to attack, but there has to be some strategy involved here. Should that happen, the AI enemy will only focus on creating more mushroom men in their bases. Sometimes, AI-controlled enemies won’t take any action, and will be the ones waiting for you to make the first move. That’s going to prevent your target enemy base from expanding, and effectively prevent them from capturing more territory and having more chances to make more mushroom men. So how can you make the most of your offensive firepower in this game? You can start by dispatching your mushroom men and having them attack neutral buildings next to the enemy base. Taking a conservative approach may work against you, believe it or not. This game’s mechanics often ensure an easy win for you if you’re aggressive and successful enough in the first few seconds of a battle. Robert, Bernard's friend and Jacqueline's lover, played by Jim Staton, was every inch the accountant going along with Bernard's story invention. She really enjoyed every moment of playing one man off against another. “Playing Bernard, Jacqueline's husband, Steve Cooke portrayed the harassed central character with just the right amount of bewilderment, opposite his wife, Jacqueline, played by Vivienne Mills who obviously revelled in her own subterfuge within the storyline. The plot of the play itself was one of the best I’ve seen - the story had me gripped to the astounding end! All of the cast were amazing - but the three youngsters were SO professional their age certainly did not reflect in their performances. "Absolutely fantastic night last night being entertained by the cast in All I Want for Christmas. "Really great play and well written, some really moving parts and well worth a watch, topical I’ll definitely go again, all I want for Christmas is the first serious play I’ve watched I really enjoyed it. Beautifully written play, wonderful acting with a twist in the tail. Well done to all involved in such a great production!" We will definitely be coming back in 2019 for the next play. What's more, the intimacy of the venue works exceptionally well to draw the audience in closer to the characters and helped make it a wonderfully unique and personal experience. The play had an engaging and intelligent plot with believable characters and the ending really was a stunner that had us marvelling at how clever the script had so subtly been all along. "Had the pleasure tonight of watching 'All I want for Christmas' and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. ![]() The set design gave a true intimate portrayal of this somewhat ‘jaded’ steam room that meant so much to the women, the lighting and effects adding to the ambiance and professionalism of the production.Īll in all, a wonderful production in a lovely, setting. John Mills direction gives us believable characters that we can identify with, laugh, cry and ultimately stand alongside, as they campaign to keep the baths open. The women put aside their differences when they learn their beloved safe haven is about to be closed down. Now to the production, the play is a comedy drama that tells the story of a group of women, from differing social circles, who meet weekly in their local Steam Baths. These are set out on tables adorned with table clothes, then served and passed down the rows, with a smile, whilst you remain seated – utterly charming. What a delightful experience, when you enter the building you are immediately transported back in time, there is a strong community feel here, that embraces even those, like myself, who are not from that community! As the curtain descends for the interval another charming event takes place, a small army appears laden with pots of tea and coffee and plates of biscuits. While cosmetic skins must be earned or bought, loot comes in the form of a ranged weapon, melee weapon, health module, shield and gear item. There’s no ease-of-access menu here, either, you’ll have to schlep around the place to access even your own inventory to switch out gear. Oh, and of course access the Premium Store, which is currently fairly barren. There’s a space station hub where you can pick jobs, access your inventory, level up. In Space Punks you’re just going into hostile territory for no real reason. The difference is the PvP element and steadily worsening storm gives a sense of urgency and context. If you’ve played The Cycle, you’ll have experienced a free-to-play adventure with a similar premise. Just a lot of scavenging missions to a hostile planet that are nothing a small army couldn’t sort instead. There’s no over-arching plot to follow, no big bad antagonist to worry about. Beyond that and a unique skill tree, there’s nothing else. They have names, and an assortment of one-liners they regurgitate over and over in-mission. There’s Handsome Space Dude, Beautiful Space Badass, Space Pig Guy, and a grown-up version of Men in Black’s coffee aliens. There’s almost no character to any of it, even the actual characters. While all these words were probably plastered all over Space Punks’ design document, it tends to miss the mark on all but the violence. Space Punks: Loot, shoot, put in the bootīorderlands is a series set across hostile alien worlds, peopled by characters you shouldn’t like, but do. But while it’s bright and colourful and has a general air of forced zaniness, it lacks one crucial component: charm. As you head down to an alien planet with your mercenary of choice to shoot robots and monsters and loot chests, the cel-shaded aesthetic does its best to invoke Gearbox’s magnum opus. In fact, it’s pretty good fun in short blasts. Not yet, anyway.įirst of all, I should say that Space Punks isn’t a bad game. ![]() That’s how Space Punks is being sold and, while I get it, well, it’s not quite that. ![]() If playing Space Punks in early access has taught me anything, it’s that marketers get a lot of mileage out of the words “Borderlands meets…”. 8/12/2023 0 Comments My hero academy season 2 ep 14OP MC Anos Voldigoad is one strong-willed, bad-ass man, and try to play funk with him, and you'll be severely awaiting death in the most insane of magnitudes. In the seemingly new timeline of things, Anos must make right of A LOT of issues, starting with his enrollment into the Demon King Academy and make-do the class system of royal and lower-class hybrid demons, not forgetting the Hero side as well in a now 2,000 + 2,000 = 4,000 year-old never-ending implication and consequences of "living lives for vengeance to revenge" and the lore to "put an end to something", ALL WHILE BEING A "magic-illegible failure" of a MISFIT. Fast forward 2000 years of another reincarnation, Anos finds that all is not what it seems: the codependency future of hybrid demons and humans living together, has taken for the worse with the typical class system that divides between royalty and commoners, not to mention that magic itself has weakened overtime, AND A FAKE Demon King shaping the post-history that completely wipes out his legacy of existence. humans battle of wars and strife enraging for 2000 years, the TRUE Demon King Anos Voldigoad facing off against the typical Hero Kanon, in an unfathomable (but understandable) action of sacrifice to ensure the future peace between hybrid demons and ordinary humans (reincarnations of heroes, if you will). others taking his place, all while being massively OP? Well then, like Mahouka's Tatsuya, Misfit's Anos Voldigoad will wreck you with his full-on "lay dormant for 2000 years" rightful Demon King powers so cold he'll knock you senseless to death, and then revive just to satisfy his desires of meting out rightful punishments to crush the morals of his enemies, NOW THAT'S SATISIFYING. But in actuality, this show is AMAZING and AWESOME AS HECK.ĭo you love power fantasy stories, with the lore of the actual MC not being a fuccboi and doesn't take a shit or 2 about Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha (The Misfit of Demon King Academy): THE SECOND COMING of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular of Magic High School)? I hope to believe so, because like the latter, to which the same ol' gimmick of elitists proclaiming: "Oh, ANOTHER "power fantasy LN" with the same OP MC likeness? Get the F*** outta here!" is kinda tiresome at this point (and I honestly DON'T F***ING CARE). As he sets out to uncover those altering his glorious past, he takes it upon himself to make his descendants recognize that their ruler has finally returned. This "lack" of common knowledge renders him the academy's outlier-a misfit never before seen in history.ĭespite these drawbacks, Anos remains unfazed. ![]() His personality, his deeds, and even his legacy are all falsified-masked beneath the name of an impostor. Moreover, when he enrolls at the academy to reclaim his rightful title, he finds out that demonkind remembers him differently. ![]() He reincarnates two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon learns that the level of magic in the world has drastically waned during his absence. In preparation for their king's return, the demon race created the Demon King Academy, an elite institution tasked with determining Anos' identity when he reawakens. To put an end to this seemingly endless conflict, Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life, hoping to be reborn in a peaceful future. In the distant past, a war between humans and demons brought about widespread chaos and bloodshed. 8/12/2023 0 Comments Noxapp player![]() A detailed tutorial is provided so that a new user can use the Nox App Player 3.8.3.1 without any hassles. Now that’s a good news to those who have limited data to use □ Besides that, the data loss is also fixed in this version. The issue of abnormal closing of Nox App Player and crashing is also now solved. The latest version of Nox App Player 3.8.3.1 has fixed all the error messages.Newly Added Features in Nox App Player 3.8.3.1Īs you know that Nox App player 3.8.3.1 version has come up with some awesome features, you must upgrade to take the full advantage now!
